Ziment has over 35 years experience as a senior business executive, strategist and strategic marketer.
Over the past decade, Ziment has built and run Mindfrog. It is now seen as one of the pre-eminent biopharma and medical device strategic marketing/marketing research consultancies in the world, providing the best in business insight/guidance to its clientele. Mindfrog is a classic second act “boutique on purpose”, designed to allow its principals the ability to get directly involved with clients and their commercial challenges.
Before forming Mindfrog in 2011, Ziment served as the Chairman/CEO of The Ziment Group/Kantar Health (was Cerner Enviza, now Oracle Lifesciences) which is the largest strategic healthcare consulting/marketing research organization in the world. That company was formed in 2009 by the merger of TNS Healthcare and The Ziment Group, the company that Mr. Ziment grew and ran for 20 years. In 2001 he sold The Ziment Group to The Kantar Group, the information and consulting division of the WPP Group. He then continued to serve as the Group CEO for five years until the end of 2006, and then worked as its Chairman until December, 2010.

STRATEGIC VISION. Ziment originated the Ziment Groups' Compound-to- Profit proprietary approach in capturing and marketing the intellect of a service business. He is also known as the individual who led the industry to use the Internet to collect data from healthcare professionals. The Compound-to-Profit approach produced three groundbreaking innovations to lead its suite of intellectual capital, all of which solved entrenched industry challenges. The Internet physician panel today is over 3,000,000 members worldwide.
INDUSTRY LEADER. In 2003, the pharmaceutical marketing research industry recognized Ziment with their lifetime achievement award –The R.R. Fordyce Award– in recognition of "contributions that are distinguished by excellence, innovation and integrity". He was named one of the Top 100 Inspiring People in the pharmaceutical industry in 2006 by PharmaVoice magazine. He has spoken at a myriad of conferences worldwide and has published in industry journals throughout his career.
MARKETING AND TECHNICAL EXPERTISE. Ziment has been personally involved in over 100 product launches and over 850 strategic projects during his career in the healthcare, biotechnology and medical device industries as a marketing research consultant. The list of successful products that he has helped influence is lengthy. He has been involved in designing and conducting consulting assignments in the industry for his entire career. He has moderated over 275 healthcare marketing research projects with over 4500 interviews with healthcare professionals and patients during his long career.
FINANCIAL PERFORMER. Under his leadership the Ziment Group grew from less than $1MM to over $90MM in total revenue with operating profits between 10% and 20% annually. The company grew every year during his tenure. Today it is over $250MM. The Ziment Group was awarded the Kantar Group's Gold or Silver Medal in 2004 through 2006, the first three years that these medals were awarded and the last three years under Howard’s leadership as CEO.
Ziment is an advisor to and has served on several boards in his business and personal life. He is the Past President of the Board at La Jolla Country Day School and Past-Vice President of the Board for the California Ballet. He is a graduate from Georgetown University with a BS in Marketing and lives in San Diego with his wife Judy. He has two daughters, Melanie and Lauren.
